December 6th - 12th - Contract Extensions Due. (Anyone that finished the season on a 1yr contract is eligible to be extended) (They will receive a 1yr contract for the greater of 1x their real MLB contract or 2x their Franchise League contract)
December 13th - 19th - Sign Eligible Minor Leaguers (Any minor leaguer on your team that exceeded 400 at bats or 100 IP need to be signed to a contract or released. If you dont plan to sign an eligible minor offer him around during the open trading period. Maybe someone will be interested and you can get something for him)
January 3rd - 9th - Provide list of players left available for the expansion draft. -Each of the current 14 teams must leave 4 players total unprotected from their roster. (2 major leaguers and 2 minors)
January 10th - 16th - Expansion draft will be held. - Draft will consist of 2 rounds, 7 picks each. By the end of the 1st rd both teams will have 7 players. By the end of the 2nd rd both teams will have 14 players.
- Teams can draft minor league or major league talent
- Players drafted will honor the current Franchise League contract
January 17th - 23rd - Give me your list of RFA's (Anyone on a 1yr contract that is not your extension can be posted for RFA. New salary will be per the RFA rules. Please read the RFA rules if you are new or do not remember how it plays out) You may select up to 5 RFA's to post.
January 24th - Restricted Free Agency Starts (will shut down trading through RFA and re-open when it ends)
Once RFA ends, the minor league draft will begin.
Trading will remain open throughout the off-season except during RFA
