Hey everyone. The league is shaping up very nicely and we are just a couple days from our drafts. During the draft, I have a few favors to ask.
1. Know the rules please. (What happens if you miss a pick*, who is eligible and who is not**, etc.)
*You must wait til the end of the round. More penalties occur the later you show up. Its all in the rules.*
**Only players below 400 MAJOR LEAGUE AB's and 100 MAJOR LEAGUE IP's are eligible for the Minor League Draft.**
2. Keep the chatbox AND the threads as clean as possible.
3. Once you decide who to select, please post it under the corresponding thread.
This is essentially how the process will work:
Around 8:05, I will post in the ROUND 1 thread, "The 'Team Name' are on the clock."
As soon as that post clears I will start a stopwatch and that team will have approximately 2 minutes to make their selection.
During the 2 minutes the owner of the team will decide who he wants to draft and post it in the thread. (I.e "Boston selects Pedro Alvarez.")
As soon as that post clears I will make a new post saying "The 'Next Team Name' are on the clock." As soon as that post clears, I will restart the stopwatch and the process will repeat itself.
At the end of each round I may take an extra minute to close the first round thread and open the 2nd round.
*NOTE: You may make your selcetion on the chatbox just to help me move the process along more quickly but the next teams clock will not start until I have posted that they are "on the clock."
Please be prepared and have a few players you might like to select in advance because I can't be too leniant with the 2 minute limit or we will be there all night.
