The post is fine.

But fyi you take the cap hit each year of the contract. For example: Vinny Pestano is 400k for 2014,2015 and 2016. So you take a 200k cap hit on each of those years. You dont just subtract the whole 600k this year and be done with him.

i added up total cap hit based on yrs left x salary x 50%. i applied the whole hit for 2015.
